Everything the Web App Can Do Today

Where every idea finds its story.

MyConceptCloud is the home for every story idea — a place to capture the spark, build the world, structure the plot, and produce the finished deliverable, all on every device you own. This is a tour of what the web app does right now, in beta.

The whole product follows one simple arc: Capture → Organize → Structure → Build your world → Write → Share → Track your momentum. Here’s each stage.

1. Capture the spark — the Vault

Ideas don’t wait for a good moment, so capture is built to be instant. Every idea you save lands in your Vault, where it’s tagged, sorted, and waiting for you.

Each concept is more than a note:

  • Types — tag a concept as a Character, Location, Plot, Setting, Joke, or Social idea, each color-coded so your vault reads at a glance.
  • Moods — give it a feel: tense, dark, funny, hopeful, tragic, mysterious, epic, and more.
  • Tags — free-form tags to group ideas your own way.
  • Variants — keep multiple takes on the same idea side by side, with notes, instead of losing the versions you didn’t pick.
  • Privacy — mark any concept private, or make it shareable.

One vault, every device. Concepts you capture on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch flow into the same vault the web app shows you — and the app even tracks where each idea came from, so you can see whether you’re a phone-in-the-moment writer or a sit-down-at-the-desk writer.

2. Organize into Projects

A Project is a single story you’re building. When you create one, you pick what you’re actually making, and MyConceptCloud sets up the right structure for it.

Supported project types: Film · TV Series · Limited Series · Pilot · Web Series · Video Game · YouTube · Podcast · Novel · Short Story · Stage Play · Advertisement · Other.

Each type comes with the right hierarchy built in — a Film thinks in Acts → Scenes, a TV Series in Seasons → Episodes → Scenes, a Novel in Acts → Chapters, a Podcast in Seasons → Episodes → Segments, and so on. Every level is color-coded and consistent across the whole platform, so “Act” or “Season” always reads the same way, everywhere.

3. Structure with proven frameworks

The blank page is the enemy. Instead of starting from nothing, drop your concepts onto a framework — a story spine that teaches you what belongs where.

  • Beat-by-beat guidance — a three-act spine, a beat sheet, or your own custom structure. Every act and every beat carries a short teaching note explaining what that moment is for.
  • Switch frameworks without losing work — try a different structure anytime. Your content stays in its act and re-slots into the new beats automatically. Nothing is ever deleted.
  • Structure insights — see the shape of your story at a glance, and where it’s thin.

4. Outline your way — four views, one story

Every project gives you multiple ways to see the same outline, so you can work the way your brain works:

  • Structure — the framework view: your beats and acts with their teaching notes.
  • Outline (Board) — a clean board of your acts and scenes, drag-and-drop to arrange.
  • Canvas — a free-form visual canvas to lay concepts and scenes out spatially and connect them.
  • Document / Text — your outline as a flowing text document when you’d rather write it out.

Concepts from your vault drop straight onto any of these, becoming the elements — characters, settings, beats — that make up each scene.

5. Build the world once — the Story Bible

Stories that share a universe should share a World. A World holds a Story Bible that lives across every project set in it — build it once, reuse it forever.

Inside a World’s bible:

  • Characters — full character sheets.
  • Factions — the groups, houses, and organizations that drive conflict.
  • Locations — the places your stories happen.
  • Lore & history — the canon that keeps everything consistent.
  • Timeline & Eras — a chronology of your world, organized into eras and arcs, so a story set 200 years earlier still lines up with everything else.

Your world is never trapped inside a single document — it’s a living reference every story can draw on.

6. Produce the finished deliverable

When the structure is ready, turn it into the real thing. Each project can hold Products — the actual deliverables:

  • Manuscript — write in chapters and add the full range of book pages: Title Page, About the Author, Preface, and the rest, from a simple dropdown.
  • Script / Screenplay — an industry-standard script editor with proper screenplay formatting: elements auto-format, scene headings and characters auto-uppercase, and the page paginates like a real script. Choose your working method — Draft, Revise, or Table Read — and keep a character panel that can scope to the current scene or the whole script.

Export your work when it’s ready to leave the nest — including Fountain, Markdown, and plain text.

7. Share & collaborate

Your work is yours, but you can bring the right people in — per person, as a viewer or an editor.

  • Share projects and worlds individually with specific people.
  • Invite by @username, as a friend, or with an invite link — whoever opens the link joins with the access you granted.
  • Friend “add-me” links with a QR code — connect with other writers even if your profile is private.
  • Dashboard invites — see and accept everything shared with you in one place.

8. Your profile & momentum

Writing is a practice, and MyConceptCloud makes the practice visible. Your profile turns everything you’ve done into progress you can feel:

  • Stats — words written, ideas captured, and your writing streak.
  • Activity heatmap — your whole creative year at a glance, with the brightest days glowing gold.
  • Where you capture — a breakdown of the devices your ideas come from (web, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch).
  • Badges — earnable achievements shown on your profile, starting with the 🏆 OG Beta Tester badge for everyone who joins during the beta.
  • Your writer identity — a bio, the kinds of writer you are, and the genres you work in.

Every writer also gets a public profile at myconcept.cloud/u/your-username to share who you are and what you’re building.

9. Getting started

  • Sign up with Google or email, and a short onboarding flow gets to know what kind of writer you are, your genres, and your style.
  • Light and dark themes, tuned so the app looks right whatever your setup.
  • A newsletter to follow along as the platform grows.
